Legal validity and limits
- It is a visual signature: an image embedded in the page. It works for documents that accept a scanned signature, such as authorizations or delivery notes, but it is not an advanced or qualified electronic signature (eIDAS).
- For official procedures that require a certified signature, use a digital certificate with a signing application that adds a verifiable cryptographic signature.
- Rotated pages and page crop boxes are respected. If the PDF already had digital signatures, adding the image invalidates them.
- The PDF and your signature never leave your browser. They are only stored if you enable "Remember in this browser".

Signing a PDF should not force you to print it, scan it or upload a contract to an unknown service. Here you create the signature however you like, including a photo of your real signature on paper with the background removed so it sits cleanly on the document. Then you place it with the mouse, add the date or a "Read and agreed" note and, if the contract requires it, copy it to every page. Positioning accounts for each page's rotation and crop box, something many tools get wrong, and the whole process happens in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Is signing a PDF this way legally valid?
It is a simple electronic signature, valid for many private documents such as authorizations, quotes or delivery notes when the parties accept it. It is not an advanced or qualified electronic signature under eIDAS, which requires a digital certificate; for official procedures use a certificate-based signing application.
How do I use a photo of my real signature?
Sign on white paper with a dark pen, take a well-lit photo and upload it in the Photo tab. Adjust the threshold until the background disappears; the tool crops the signature and can recolor the ink blue or black.
Can I initial every page of a contract?
Yes. Place the signature or initials on one page, select it and press the copy button: it is added at the same position on every other page, adapting the size if a page differs.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is opened, signed and generated in your browser. Your signatures are only stored if you enable "Remember in this browser", and you can delete them at any time.
Does it work with protected PDFs?
PDFs with an open password cannot be opened. If the PDF already had digital signatures, adding an image modifies the file and those signatures stop being valid.
