Mouse tester and click speed (CPS)
Measure your clicks per second, your natural double-click interval and check that every button and the wheel respond. No installs, no sign-up, all local.

The test starts on your first click and the timer uses the browser's high-resolution clock (performance.now). Middle and right clicks are captured too, with no context menu. Everything stays in your browser.

A mouse wears out in silence: the click microswitch bounces, a side button dies, the wheel starts skipping, and nobody notices until it fails at the worst moment. This test puts your mouse through its paces in the browser with nothing to install: it measures your clicks per second with the browser's high-resolution clock, computes mean and median click intervals plus a rhythm-consistency percentage so you can compare sessions; records your natural double-click interval (the system threshold sits around 500 ms); lights up every pressed button live, including gaming side buttons 4 and 5, and counts wheel detents up and down. Useful for gaming, diagnosing a flaky mouse before a warranty claim, or settling who has the highest CPS at the office.

How do I run a clicks-per-second test?
- 1
Pick the duration
1 second for a burst, 5-10 to compete, 30-60 for endurance.
- 2
Click and don't stop
The test starts on your first click and the timer runs until it expires.
- 3
Read your stats
CPS, total clicks, mean and median interval, rhythm and best score.
- 4
Check buttons and wheel
On the side panel, press every button and spin the wheel to verify everything responds.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good CPS score?
A normal sustained click is around 5-7 CPS. Jitter or butterfly techniques push past 10; top gaming mouse records sit near 14-15 CPS. Anything above is macros, and those don't count.
Why is my double click not registering?
The OS only counts a double click if both pulses land within ~500 ms (configurable in Windows). If your natural interval is larger, double clicks fail even though you clicked twice: this meter shows your real interval.
Is anything I do recorded?
No. The test uses real-time browser events and only keeps your session's best scores in memory. Close the tab and nothing remains.
