Passport and ID photo maker

Crop your photo to the official format with the head at the required size and prepare a sheet ready to print.

Size 35 × 45 mm · head (chin to crown) between 32 and 36 mm.

6 photos fit (2 × 3) on the portrait sheet.

Print the PDF at 100% (no "fit to page") so each photo measures exactly as specified.

Requirements and limits
  • Sizes follow each country's published rules, but they can change and each office may be stricter. Check the official website before submitting the photo.
  • The tool does not change the background: take the photo against a white or light wall, with even light, a neutral expression, no sunglasses and looking at the camera. If you need to remove the background, use this site's background remover first.
  • It does not detect the face automatically: you mark the crown and chin, and the crop is calculated from those marks.
  • The photo never leaves your browser.

ID photos do not just have a set size: the head must also measure what the rules require, and that is the most common reason photos get rejected at passport offices and consulates. This tool asks you to mark where your head starts and where your chin is, and from those two lines it calculates the crop so the head falls within the official range for the chosen format, centered and with the right space above. It then generates the photo at 300 or 600 dpi and a sheet with as many copies as fit on 4 × 6 in or A4, as a real-size PDF to print at home or at any photo shop.

Frequently asked questions

What size are Spanish ID and passport photos?

26 mm wide by 32 mm high, in color, with a plain white background, facing forward and without dark glasses. The head should take up most of the height, around 70-80%.

How big should the head be in a 35 × 45 mm photo?

In most EU countries and for Schengen visas, 32 to 36 mm from chin to top of head. The UK accepts 29 to 34 mm. The tool warns you if you fall outside the range.

How do I print the sheet so photos measure correctly?

Use the real-size PDF and print it at 100% or "actual size", with "fit to page" turned off. At a photo shop you can take the 4 × 6 in JPG, which already matches a standard print.

Are home-made passport photos accepted?

Usually yes if it meets the requirements: size, head measurement, plain light background, even lighting without shadows, sharp focus and good photo paper. Some authorities require recent or professionally taken photos, so always check the official rules.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The crop, sheet and PDF are generated in your browser and the image never leaves your device.
