The ringtone maker trims any song or audio to a short duration ready to use as a phone ringtone, with an automatic smooth fade at the start and end so it doesn't sound like an abrupt cut. Upload your MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A or AAC file, choose the ringtone length (15 to 40 seconds), move the slider to pick from which second of the song the clip starts — usually the chorus or the most recognizable part — and download the result ready to set as your phone's ringtone. How do I set the result as my phone's ringtone?
It depends on your OS: on Android you can set it directly from Settings > Sound, on iPhone you'll need to convert it to Apple's ringtone format with iTunes/Finder or a third-party app.
Why does it have a fade at the start and end?
To avoid the abrupt cut typical of trimming audio with scissors, so the ringtone starts and ends more naturally.
