The lvdisplay command

Details of each logical volume: path, name, group and size.

Syntax

lvdisplay

Copy-ready examples

$ sudo pvcreate /dev/sdbPV
$ sudo vgcreate datos /dev/sdbVG
$ sudo lvcreate -L 2G -n web datosLV
$ sudo lvdisplayDetails

You can try them in the browser terminal: it does not touch your computer.

Typical mistakes

  • It shows the /dev/group/name path you use to mount.
